We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods in accordance with these terms and conditions.
No order submitted by you is accepted by us until we confirm by e-mail its acceptance. No contract shall exist between you and us until we confirm our acceptance of your order in this way. Please note that our acknowledgement of receipt of your order is not necessarily acceptance of your order. If we accept your order the acknowledgement of receipt will indicate this clearly.
We reserve the right to place restrictions on the volume of any goods ordered.
All orders are subject to additional charges for picking, packing and delivery. These are calculated and displayed during the ordering process. We reserve the right to alter these displayed charges after order completion in the event of an incorrect area selection. You will be shown the final carriage charges for your destination prior to having to enter any payment details.
Please note that a signature will be required on all order deliveries.
Channel Islands/BFPO Addresses - At this time we regret that we do not deliver to these addresses.
All product descriptions and content on our website or otherwise issued by us are intended merely to present a general idea of the goods sold by us. If you require any further details, please contact us by e-mail, providing details of the additional information needed. However, if you buy goods which are faulty or not as described on the website, we will deal with them in accordance with our returns policy.
The price (shown inclusive of VAT at the standard rate) and availability of the goods is identified on the relevant page detailing the goods.
We accept payment by credit and debit card only.
The goods will only be owned by you once we have received payment in full.
You must ensure that you complete our order form so as to give us all necessary information to enable us to deliver the goods.
We will deliver the goods within a maximum of 30 days beginning with the day following that on which you submit your order to us (unless you and we agree otherwise or you exercise your right to cancel our agreement before we arrange delivery and/or performance).
As soon as we have delivered the goods to you, you will be responsible for them, including any damage that may occur to them.
We have made every effort to ensure the goods correspond to our description of them on the website.
You should examine the goods as soon as is reasonably possible after delivery and notify us of any defect as soon as practicable after the defect is discovered. Where you discover a defect please let us know. We will deal with returned goods in accordance with our returns policy.

Other than the liability we have accepted as described above, we will not be liable for any losses that you suffer as a result of any breach of our agreement except those losses which are a foreseeable consequence of the breach. In particular, since the goods are provided to you as a consumer, we cannot accept responsibility for any losses related to any business of yours such as lost data, lost profits or other business loss that you may incur as a result of any breach of our agreement.
If for any reason you are unhappy with all or any of the goods received, you can return any of them to us in accordance with our returns policy.

Returns Policy
The Original Factory Shop hope you will be pleased with your items purchased, however if for any reason you would like to return your items, please see details below.
This returns policy does not affect your statuary rights.
Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are available up to a maximum of 30 days after delivery if you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is defective. Where a replacement is not required, a full refund for the item will be made along with the original postage, once we have received your returned items. Replacements, due to an error on our part or due to a defect, will be despatched at no additional postage charge.
Please note that we cannot exchange or accept the return of certain products, for reasons of hygiene, safety or security. We do not accept returns on opened bedding, cosmetics, fragrance, mattresses, mattress toppers, opened duvets, opened pillows, earrings, piercing jewellery, swimwear, underwear, perishable products or CD’s, DVD’s or computer software that’s been opened unless faulty, not as described or unfit for intended purpose.
We will refund your original delivery charges only where an item is deemed to be faulty/damaged or unfit for intended purpose, but not where an item is simply unwanted. Carriage charges will only be refunded on multiple product orders when all products are returned
Additional Terms and Conditions - Furniture (e.g. Beds)
Once you have taken delivery of your furniture, we will only give refunds in accordance with you legal rights, for example, if the goods are not fit for purpose or not as described.
If collection of an item is required, we will charge you the cost of collection (up to £100), of which you will be notified at time of cancellation. In addition any delivery charges are also non-refundable unless the goods are faulty or the cancellation has been made in accordance of your legal rights.
Mattresses are non-returnable once removed from packaging due to health and hygiene reasons. Your statutory rights are not affected. Keep mattresses in their original packaging until you have assembles and are satisfied with any bed bought.
If the product does not fit into your home, it will be classed as a cancelled order and costs will be incurred by you.
If the furniture arrives damaged please point it out to the delivery driver on the day of delivery before signing for your furniture. You must ensure any damage is noted on the driver's documents and your documents and get the driver to sign both. This is to identify where any damage to the furniture occurs.
Cancellation Rights
You have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 8 working days of receiving your items. Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within this eight working day cooling off period we will be happy to refund an item (less any original postage charge) once we have received the items back, assuming they are in fully re-saleable condition. Postage for returning the item to us will be at your own cost. If the items are not in a fully re-saleable condition we do reserve the right to refuse a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
For items returned to us via the post, refunds will be completed within a maximum of 30 days
How to return items to us – by post
Please follow the steps below to enable us to process your refund efficiently
- Please return your items with your delivery slip, giving the reason for the return.
- If you do not have the original delivery slip, please send us a note detailing the reason for the return along with your full contact details; name, address and contact telephone number
- In the case of a faulty item, please provide a full description of the fault.
- We recommend that you obtain proof of postage when returning parcels, as we are unable to accept responsibility for items that fail to reach us.

How to return items to us – to one of our stores
- Simply take your delivery slip and the product you wish to return or exchange to your local The Original Factory Shop and inform the sales assistant that you purchased the item online.

Complaints
We hope that you will never have cause for complaint however in the unlikely event you do, please contact us straight away. Call Customer Services on 0844 8116 155*, email us at orders@theoriginalfactoryshop.co.uk or write to us at the address above.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and try to resolve the issue immediately, if not within 5 working days. You will be informed of the progress of your complaint.
